How to install Mysql5.7.11 on 64-bit Win10 system (detailed case explanation)_MySQL

Sep 09, 2016 am 08:13 AM

Recently, I used mysql-installer-community-5.7.11.0 to install Mysql5.7.11 on a mac book notebook with a 64-bit Win10 system. When configuring the mysql server, I always got stuck and reported an error. (On other PCs with the same windows system, automatic installation is no problem). I decided to install manually, but there were still many problems. The final successful installation case is as follows:

1. Prepare to install the software

1.mysql.com download mysql-5.7.11-win32.zip

2.mysql-workbench-community-6.3.6-win32.msi

3.vcredist_x64 (Step 2 requires the installation of MicroSoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package)

2. Install Mysql

1. Unzip mysql-5.7.11-win32.zip to c:mysql-5.7.11-win32

2. Set the environment variable MYSQL_HOME=c:mysql-5.7.11-win32, path=%MYSQL_HOME%bin

3. The key step is the setting of my.ini, mine is

[WinMySQLAdmin]
Server="C:/mysql-5.7.11-win32/bin/mysqld.exe"
[client]
no-beep
# pipe
# socket=mysql
port=3306
[mysql]
default-character-set=utf8
# For advice on how to change settings please see
# http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/server-configuration-defaults.html
# *** DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE. It's a template which will be copied to the
# *** default location during install, and will be replaced if you
# *** upgrade to a newer version of MySQL.
[mysqld]
explicit_defaults_for_timestamp = TRUE
# Remove leading # and set to the amount of RAM for the most important data
# cache in MySQL. Start at 70% of total RAM for dedicated server, else 10%.
innodb_buffer_pool_size = 2G
# Remove leading # to turn on a very important data integrity option: logging
# changes to the binary log between backups.
# log_bin
# These are commonly set, remove the # and set as required.
basedir="C:\mysql-5.7.11-win32\"
datadir="C:\mysql-5.7.11-win32\data\"
port=3306
server_id=1
general-log=0
general_log_file="mysql_general.log"
slow-query-log=1
slow_query_log_file="mysql_slow_query.log"
long_query_time=10
log-error="mysql_error_log.err"
default-storage-engine=INNODB
max_connections=1024
query_cache_size=128M
key_buffer_size=128M
innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=1
innodb_thread_concurrency=128
innodb_autoextend_increment=128M
tmp_table_size=128M
# Remove leading # to set options mainly useful for reporting servers.
# The server defaults are faster for transactions and fast SELECTs.
# Adjust sizes as needed, experiment to find the optimal values.
# join_buffer_size = 128M
# sort_buffer_size = 2M
# read_rnd_buffer_size = 2M
#sql_mode=NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION,STRICT_TRANS_TABLES
sql-mode="STRICT_TRANS_TABLES,NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION"
character-set-server=utf8
innodb_flush_method=normal
Copy after login

4. Enter cmd as administrator (all of the following)

5.mysqld --install MySQL --defaults-file=C:mysql-5.7.11-win32my.ini Install mysql service

6.mysqld --initialize This is to generate the data directory and initialization data

7. In the mysql_error_log file in the data directory, look for [Note] A temporary password is generated for root@localhost: 5ZC=7Qe&eneg, the three digits marked in red after ":" are the initial password

8. Start the service net start mysql or start it in the service

9.mysqld

10. Open cmd, mysql -uroot -p

After entering the initial password to connect to the mysql database, change the password as follows:

set password=password('123456');
flush privileges;
Copy after login

Log out and log in again, just use a new password:

mysql -uroot -p123456
Copy after login

3. Install workbench for convenient operation

1. Install Visual C++2013 Redistributable Package first

2. Install workbench 32-bit

There is nothing difficult about these two steps.

The above is the method introduced by the editor to install Mysql5.7.11 on 64-bit Win10 system. I hope it will be helpful to you. If you have any questions, please leave me a message and the editor will reply to you in time. Thank you very much for your support of the website!

When might a full table scan be faster than using an index in MySQL? When might a full table scan be faster than using an index in MySQL? Apr 09, 2025 am 12:05 AM

Full table scanning may be faster in MySQL than using indexes. Specific cases include: 1) the data volume is small; 2) when the query returns a large amount of data; 3) when the index column is not highly selective; 4) when the complex query. By analyzing query plans, optimizing indexes, avoiding over-index and regularly maintaining tables, you can make the best choices in practical applications.

Explain InnoDB Full-Text Search capabilities. Explain InnoDB Full-Text Search capabilities. Apr 02, 2025 pm 06:09 PM

InnoDB's full-text search capabilities are very powerful, which can significantly improve database query efficiency and ability to process large amounts of text data. 1) InnoDB implements full-text search through inverted indexing, supporting basic and advanced search queries. 2) Use MATCH and AGAINST keywords to search, support Boolean mode and phrase search. 3) Optimization methods include using word segmentation technology, periodic rebuilding of indexes and adjusting cache size to improve performance and accuracy.

Difference between clustered index and non-clustered index (secondary index) in InnoDB. Difference between clustered index and non-clustered index (secondary index) in InnoDB. Apr 02, 2025 pm 06:25 PM

The difference between clustered index and non-clustered index is: 1. Clustered index stores data rows in the index structure, which is suitable for querying by primary key and range. 2. The non-clustered index stores index key values and pointers to data rows, and is suitable for non-primary key column queries.

MySQL: Simple Concepts for Easy Learning MySQL: Simple Concepts for Easy Learning Apr 10, 2025 am 09:29 AM

MySQL is an open source relational database management system. 1) Create database and tables: Use the CREATEDATABASE and CREATETABLE commands. 2) Basic operations: INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE and SELECT. 3) Advanced operations: JOIN, subquery and transaction processing. 4) Debugging skills: Check syntax, data type and permissions. 5) Optimization suggestions: Use indexes, avoid SELECT* and use transactions.

Explain different types of MySQL indexes (B-Tree, Hash, Full-text, Spatial). Explain different types of MySQL indexes (B-Tree, Hash, Full-text, Spatial). Apr 02, 2025 pm 07:05 PM

MySQL supports four index types: B-Tree, Hash, Full-text, and Spatial. 1.B-Tree index is suitable for equal value search, range query and sorting. 2. Hash index is suitable for equal value searches, but does not support range query and sorting. 3. Full-text index is used for full-text search and is suitable for processing large amounts of text data. 4. Spatial index is used for geospatial data query and is suitable for GIS applications.

The relationship between mysql user and database The relationship between mysql user and database Apr 08, 2025 pm 07:15 PM

In MySQL database, the relationship between the user and the database is defined by permissions and tables. The user has a username and password to access the database. Permissions are granted through the GRANT command, while the table is created by the CREATE TABLE command. To establish a relationship between a user and a database, you need to create a database, create a user, and then grant permissions.

Can mysql and mariadb coexist Can mysql and mariadb coexist Apr 08, 2025 pm 02:27 PM

MySQL and MariaDB can coexist, but need to be configured with caution. The key is to allocate different port numbers and data directories to each database, and adjust parameters such as memory allocation and cache size. Connection pooling, application configuration, and version differences also need to be considered and need to be carefully tested and planned to avoid pitfalls. Running two databases simultaneously can cause performance problems in situations where resources are limited.
