Where to find the Crane Control Keycard in Atomfall

In Atomfall, discover hidden keys and passages, including multiple ways to access key locations. This guide focuses on using the Crane Control Keycard for easy, unguarded entry to Skethermoor Prison, bypassing the need to cooperate with Captain Sims.

Locating the Crane Control Keycard

The keycard is located within Atomfall's Interchange. It's recommended to restore power to Data Store Bravo beforehand for easier navigation.

From the Skethermoor Interchange entrance (inside Skethermoor Prison grounds), turn left and descend the stairs. If the leftmost door is locked, navigate through the broken Quarantine Seal, circle around, and open the door from the other side. Enter Data Store Bravo, go downstairs, and proceed through the next door. The previously locked door will now be on your left.

Descend the stairs and enter the Maintenance room to your left. Loot the corpse to find the Crane Control Keycard and the "Take Over Crane Operations" note, revealing a shipping container blocking the Detention Quarter entrance.

Restoring Power to the Crane Controls

The Crane Control Room is near Data Store Delta. From the garage where you found the keycard, head straight ahead, up the stairs (turning left at the top), to a hallway with Data Store Delta on the right and the Crane Control Room on the left.

The Crane Control Lever will be without power. Use the Signal Redirector (obtained either via Skethermoor Prison or June's Key and notes – see the full guide for details) on the power junction next to the corkboard, and then on two additional ceiling junctions as they illuminate, restoring power to the lever.

Activating the lever moves the shipping container, opening the Detention Quarter.

The Detention Quarter

The Detention Quarter is optional; completing the game is possible without it. Using the Crane Controls provides a stealthier entrance to Skethermoor Prison, avoiding heavily guarded areas and Captain Sims' quest. Inside, you'll find a key NPC.
