Java senior software engineer interview syllabus
If you want to apply for the position of senior development engineer, it is not enough to just know the basic knowledge of Java. You must also know common data structures, algorithms, networks, operating systems and other knowledge. Therefore, this article will not explain specific technologies. Based on my experience in applying for major companies, the author compiled an assessment outline for senior Java development engineer positions in major companies, hoping to help those in need.
Currently, there are books similar to "Java XX Collection" on the market, and the contents in the books focus on explaining the most basic parts of Java. The most serious thing is that there are a lot of wrong contents in them, which are extremely misleading. In addition, there are various Java interview questions on the Internet, many of which focus on the Java language. In fact, if you want to apply for a senior development engineer position, it is not enough to just know the basic knowledge of Java. You must also know common data structures, algorithms, networks, operating systems, etc. Therefore, this article will not explain specific technologies. Based on my experience in applying for major companies, the author compiled an assessment outline for senior Java development engineer positions in major companies, hoping to help those in need.
1 Java Basics
1.1 Collection and Map
(1) Master the inheritance system of Collection and Map.
(2) Master the characteristics and implementation principles of ArrayList, LinkedList, Vector, Stack, PriorityQueue, HashSet, LinkedHashSet, TreeSet, HashMap, LinkedHashMap, TreeMap, WeakHashMap, EnumMap, TreeMap, and HashTable.
(3) Master the implementation principles and applicable scenarios of CopyOnWriteArrayList, CopyOnWriteArraySet, and ConcurrentHashMap.
1.2 IO
(1) Master the inheritance system of InputStream, OutputStream, Reader, and Writer.
(2) Master byte streams (FileInputStream, DataInputStream, BufferedInputStream, FileOutputSteam, DataOutputStream, BufferedOutputStream) and character streams (BufferedReader, InputStreamReader, FileReader, BufferedWriter, OutputStreamWriter, PrintWriter, FileWriter), and use them skillfully.
(3) Master the implementation principles and usage of NIO.
1.3 Exception
(1) Master the Throwable inheritance system.
(2) Master the working principle of abnormality.
(3) Understand common checked exceptions (such as FileNotFoundException), unchecked exceptions (such as NullPointerException) and errors (such as IOError).
1.4 Multi-threading
(1) Master the characteristics and scope of application of the three types of thread pools that Executors can create (JAVA8 adds one, totaling four types).
(2) Master the multi-thread synchronization mechanism and use it skillfully.
1.5 Socket
(1) Master the principle of Socket communication.
(2) Proficient in using multi-threading combined with Socket for programming.
2 Java virtual machine
2.1 JVM memory area division
(1) Master the functions and basic principles of the program counter, heap, virtual machine stack, local method stack, method area (removed in JAVA8), and metaspace (new in JAVA8) .
(2) Master the division of the heap: the functions and working principles of the new generation (Eden, Survivor1, Survivor2) and the old generation.
(3) Master JVM memory parameter setting and tuning.
2.2 Class Loading
(1) Master the loading stages of classes: loading, linking (verification, preparation, parsing), initialization, use, and unloading.
(2) Master the classification of class loaders and their applications: startup class loader, extension class loader, application class loader, custom loader.
3 J2EE
(1) Master JSP built-in objects, actions, related features and working principles.
(2) Master the characteristics and working principles of Servlet.
(3) Master the IOC and AOP implementation principles of the Spring framework (reflection and dynamic proxy).
(4) Master the working principles of at least one MVC framework (Spring MVC, Struts, etc.) and use it skillfully.
(5) Master the working principles of at least one ORM framework (Hibernate, MyBatis, etc.) and use it skillfully.
4 Data Structures and Algorithms
(1) Master the characteristics of linear tables and trees and use them skillfully.
(2) Master common sorting and search algorithms: insertion sort (direct insertion sort, Hill sort), selection sort (direct selection sort, heap sort), exchange sort (bubble sort, quick sort), merge sort, sequential search , binary search, hash search.
(3) Proficient in using common sorting and search algorithm ideas to solve programming problems.
(4) Understand several basic algorithms: greedy algorithm, divide and conquer strategy, and dynamic programming.
5 Computer Network
(1) Master the layered structure of the network and the functional characteristics of each layer.
(2) Master the communication principles of TCP/IP (three-way handshake, four-way wave)
6 Database
(1) Master the writing of complex SQL statements.
(2) Master database optimization (SQL level and table design level).
(3) Master at least one database product.
(4) Be familiar with database development under high concurrency and big data situations.
7 Web Technology
(1) Master the working principle of AJAX.
(2) Be familiar with at least one JS framework (such as JQuery).
8 Design Patterns
(1) Be familiar with common design patterns.
(2) Will apply design pattern theory to actual development.
9 Linux
(1) Be proficient in using common Linux commands.
(2) Be familiar with the basic concepts and features of the Linux operating system.
(3) Familiar with Shell scripts.
10 Operating System
(1) Master the process management of the operating system.
(2) Understand the I/O of the operating system.
11 Regular Expressions
(1) Master common regular expression symbols.
(2) Skillfully use regular expressions to solve practical problems (such as matching phone numbers, email addresses, domain names, etc.).
