News on April 26, RUNTO’s latest report reveals the sales of China’s surveillance camera market in the first quarter of 2024. According to the report, in the first quarter of this year, sales of surveillance cameras in China’s online public retail market (excluding emerging e-commerce companies such as Pinduokuai) reached 5.87 million units, a significant growth of 31.3% compared to the same period last year.

In China’s consumer market for surveillance cameras, indoor scenes still account for a large proportion of the market, as high as 56.7%. It is worth noting that the four major brands Xiaomi, Qiaoan, EZVIZ and Puffin are firmly in the top four in the indoor surveillance camera market, with Xiaomi leading the way with nearly a quarter of the market share. Brands such as Qiaoan, EZVIZ, Puffin, and Pulian, 360, and Jingjing also followed closely behind, forming a strong market competition pattern. At the same time, brands such as Batianan, Lenovo and Lenovo also successfully jumped into the top 10.

According to product specifications, the current mainstream camera pixels in the market are 3-4 million pixels, and the growth trend of 5-megapixel cameras is the most obvious. In addition, the 8-megapixel camera has become the flagship configuration of the head brand. In terms of product types, the sales share of binocular and multi-camera cameras totaled 29.6% in the first quarter of this year, more than double the same period in previous years. Judging from the camera’s appearance, the sales share of PTZ cameras reached 52.1%, ranking first. Followed by ball machines, sales share was 21.8%.
