Uber Eats plans to launch robot food delivery in major U.S. cities starting in 2026 to improve food safety and efficiency

News on June 2, American food delivery giant Uber Eats and Serve Robotics recently announced that it will launch robot food delivery services in major cities in the United States starting in 2026.

Serve Robotics is an independently operated company, formerly the delivery robot project of Postmates, a food delivery service provider. The company said their robot is equipped with four wheels and uses artificial intelligence technology for path planning. The robots have a range of approximately 40 kilometers and can carry goods weighing up to 23 kilograms. In addition, Serve Robotics' robots can deliver dozens of orders every day.
