What to do if php code cannot be used in html

Apr 21, 2023 am 10:05 AM

HTML and PHP are two different languages, and their uses are also different. HTML is used to create the structure and content of web pages, while PHP is used to process dynamic content and interact with the server.

HTML itself does not support PHP code because it is only a text language and cannot execute server-side scripts. If you need to use PHP code in a web page, you must let the server execute the code first and then return the output results to the browser.

In order to implement this process, you usually need to install a PHP interpreter on the server and include the PHP code in a file with the suffix .php. When the browser requests this file, the server will first interpret and execute the PHP code, and then send the generated HTML code to the browser for display.

For example, in a file with the suffix .php, you can use the following code to combine HTML and PHP:

<html>
  <head>
    <title>使用PHP</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <?php
      echo "当前时间是:" . date("Y-m-d H:i:s");
    ?>
  </body>
</html>
Copy after login

In the above example, PHP's date() function is used to obtain The current time, and use the echo statement to output the results to the HTML page. When this file is requested, the server will first execute the PHP code and then return the result to the browser along with other HTML code.

It should be noted that when using PHP code, it must be placed between the "" tags. These tags tell the PHP interpreter which parts are PHP code and which parts are pure HTML code. If these tags are not used correctly, the PHP code will be output as ordinary text content and cannot be executed.

To sum up, HTML itself cannot execute PHP code, but the functions of dynamic web pages can be realized by combining HTML and PHP in files with a .php suffix. To use PHP code correctly, a PHP interpreter must be installed on the server and the PHP code must be included in the correct tags.
