However, sometimes when using PHP files, we may encounter some problems. One of them is that the browser does not recognize the PHP file format.

First of all, we need to clearly understand what a PHP file is. A PHP file is a file containing PHP code that is usually parsed by a server (such as Apache) at runtime. When the browser requests a PHP file, the server will interpret and execute the PHP code and return the results to the browser. The browser can directly display the results returned by the PHP file.

If you find that your browser cannot recognize the PHP file format, the first thing to determine is whether the PHP parser has been installed correctly. If you are using shared hosting or virtual hosting, usually the PHP parser has been installed by the hosting provider and there is no need to install it yourself. If you are building the website on your own server, then you need to install the PHP parser and configure the environment variables correctly.
