How to install dedecms in php
PHP is an open source server-side scripting language used for general purpose programming. It can run on a web server or as a CGI program on all operating systems. PHP is widely used to develop web applications, especially in the development process from small personal websites to large corporate websites. DedeCMS is an excellent open source content management system developed based on PHP and can be used to build various types of websites.
In this article, we will introduce how to install DedeCMS on the server and configure the relevant environment to start building your own website.
Step 1: Install the Apache server
DedeCMS needs to run in the Apache server environment, so we need to install the Apache server first. Under Linux, you can install it using the following command.
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install apache2
Under Windows, you can download the latest version from the Apache official website and install it.
Step 2: Install PHP
After installing the Apache server, you need to install PHP. PHP can be installed under Linux using the following command.
sudo apt-get install php
Under Windows, download the latest version from the PHP official website and install it. After installation, you need to add the path of the PHP module to the Apache configuration file so that PHP can be correctly recognized by Apache. Under Linux, you can use the following commands to open and edit Apache's configuration file.
sudo nano /etc/apache2/apache2.conf
Under Windows, you can use a text editor to open the Apache configuration file. Add the following content to the configuration file:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
Save the configuration file and exit.
Step 3: Install MySQL
DedeCMS needs to use the MySQL database to store data, so we need to install MySQL first. Under Linux, MySQL can be installed using the following command.
sudo apt-get install mysql-server
Under Windows, you can download the latest version from the MySQL official website and install it.
After installing MySQL, you also need to set the password for the root user. Under Linux, you can use the following commands to set it up.
sudo mysql_secure_installation
Under Windows, find the mysql_secure_installation.exe file in the bin directory under the MySQL installation directory, double-click to run it to set it up.
Step 4: Download DedeCMS
Download the latest version of DedeCMS and extract it to the Apache Web root directory. Under Linux, Apache's Web root directory is /var/www/html/, and under Windows, the default is C:\Apache\htdocs\.
You can use the following command to download DedeCMS under Linux.
wget http://dedecms.com/soft/dedecms/latest -O dedecms.tar.gz
Unzip DedeCMS to the Web root directory of Apache.
tar zxvf dedecms.tar.gz -C /var/www/html/
Under Windows, you can download the latest version directly from the official website and extract it to the htdocs directory of Apache.
Step 5: Configure DedeCMS
After decompressing DedeCMS to the Web root directory of Apache, you need to perform some basic configuration before you can start using it.
First copy the config.base.php file in the config folder and change the copied file name to config.php. Then open the config.php file and find the following code in it.
$cfg_dbuser = 'root'; $cfg_dbpwd = 'root'; $cfg_dbname = 'dedecmsv57utf8sp2';
Modify $cfg_dbuser and $cfg_dbpwd to the user name and password of the root user in MySQL, and $cfg_dbname is the name of the database to be used.
Next, copy the install_lock_mysql.sql file in the install folder to the bin directory under the MySQL installation directory, and enter the bin directory on the command line.
Use the following command to log in to MySQL.
mysql -u root -p
After entering the password of the root user, use the following command to create the database to be used.
CREATE DATABASE dedecmsv57utf8sp2 DEFAULT CHARSET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci;
Then use the following command to import the install_lock_mysql.sql file into the newly created database.
use dedecmsv57utf8sp2; source install_lock_mysql.sql;
At this point, the installation and configuration of DedeCMS is completed. You can enter the IP address or domain name of the server and the name of the DedeCMS installation directory in a web browser to access the DedeCMS installation wizard.
