The success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 might encourage Sandfall Interactive to consider a release on Switch 2. In a conversation with French YouTuber mistermv on May 2, Expedition 33 Director Guillaume Broche discussed the studio's plans following their remarkable launch.

He remarked that the game's achievements "alter everything," and the team is deliberating their next steps. Broche said, "Given the game's success at this stage, it kind of alters everything."

When queried about a Switch 2 release, he indicated that they are currently evaluating numerous opportunities and still deciding on their direction. "It's premature to confirm anything, but we find ourselves in a position where... let's say there are numerous opportunities emerging - too many at once - and we're sorting out which ones to pursue and which to pass on.
