Last Epoch: How to Skip Acts
If you’ve already played through Last Epoch’s campaign once and you’re itching to jump straight into Monoliths on your next character, good news: you can skip huge chunks of the story—including Act 5—by using a combination of dungeons, Monoliths, and a little planning. Here's how to do it.
What You Need to Know About Skipping Acts/Campaigns
Nothing in the campaign or act is mandatory. Passive points, idol slots, skill choices—they're all flexible or farmable in other ways. You won’t lock yourself out of anything important if you skip ahead, especially in Season 2, which adds extra rewards from Dungeons to make skipping easier than ever.
Why Skip the Campaign?
To speed up alt characters
To unlock endgame faster
To avoid repeating the same quests over and over
To access Trade/CoF sooner
Let’s walk through how to skip Act 5 and more, using dungeon keys and Monoliths.
The Core Campaign Skip Route
There are three key dungeons that let you fast-travel deep into the campaign:
1. Lightless Arbor (Act 3 → Act 4)
Entrance: The Shrouded Ridge (Act 3)
Exit: The Risen Lake (Act 4)
Enemy level: 20
This is the easiest skip to pull off and the first one most players can handle—even on a fresh alt. It lets you cut out parts of Act 3 and jump straight to mid-Act 4.
2. Soulfire Bastion (Act 4 → Act 7)
Entrance: The Felled Wood (Act 4)
Exit: Kolheim Pass (Act 7)
Enemy level: 45
This lets you completely skip Acts 5 and 6. That’s the full Act 5 skip right there. However, it's a bit harder and requires a key that doesn’t usually drop until later unless you farm Monoliths or get lucky.
3. Temporal Sanctum (Act 5 → Act 9)
Entrance: The Shining Cove (Act 5)
Exit: The Radiant Dunes (Act 9)
Enemy level: 55
Unlock Requirement: Complete “The Sapphire Tablet” quest in Oracle’s Abode (Act 5)
This is your big campaign nuke. If you’re strong enough to clear the dungeon (or just twinked out with gear), you can go straight from Act 5 to Act 9, skipping Acts 6, 7, and 8 in the process.
How to Actually Skip Acts and Campaigns
For a Fresh Character:
Play through Act 1 and 2 as normal
After choosing your Mastery at End of Time, you can technically enter Monoliths immediately (not recommended unless you’re sweaty)
Instead, push through to Act 3 and unlock Lightless Arbor
If you have a Lightless Arbor key, use it to skip to Act 4
If you get a Soulfire Bastion key early, that’ll launch you to Act 7—bypassing Act 5 entirely
Finish “The Sapphire Tablet” quest in Act 5, unlock Temporal Sanctum, and jump to Act 9
You can do this whole route with only a few side quests and still cap out your passive points and idol slots thanks to Season 2 dungeon rewards.
Bonus: Full Skip with a Friend
If you have a buddy:
They can give you waypoints to nearly any part of the map
You can teleport into Monoliths at level 1 if they’ve already unlocked them
You can also skip straight to the Act 9 boss, finish the campaign, and be “endgame ready” in minutes
Final Blurb
If you’re looking to skip Act 5 in Last Epoch, you absolutely can—and more. Lightless Arbor skips Act 3, Soulfire skips Act 5, and Temporal Sanctum jumps you straight to the finale. Toss in a few dungeon keys and you can yeet through 70% of the campaign and get to farming Monoliths before your coffee even cools.
No guilt. No missing out. Just speed and efficiency. Welcome to alt life.
