How Hideout Resources are Used

Hideout resources serve two key purposes:

• Construction: Building amenities like the Study, Dojo, and Forge within your Hideout.

Acquiring Crops, Wood, and Minerals

While small quantities can be scavenged from bandit camps and castles, these won't significantly impact your stockpile. For substantial gains, focus on these two methods:

• Scout Resource Collection: Locate and tag resource caches (marked by barrel icons) in enemy camps and castles. Your Scouts will collect these at the end of each season. Each cache yields approximately 150 units of crops or wood, and around 75 minerals. Remember to replenish your Scout charges at a Kakurega (200 mon per charge).

  

• Port Trader Purchases: Locate port traders (marked by anchor icons on the map), typically Portuguese merchants. They offer large quantities of crops, wood, and minerals for sale. While they may not always stock all three, their inventory refreshes regularly, and multiple traders are available.

Early-game recommendations include the Sakai port trader (western side of town) and the Otsu port trader (southern shore of Lake Biwa in Omi). These traders often provide up to 750 units of each resource, sufficient for most building projects.
