Hat Swapping

You can't directly remove hats; instead, you replace them. With a hat in hand and your dog already wearing one, press X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox) while near the dog to initiate the swap.

The dog's headwear capacity presents a slight challenge. The dog can wear two hats simultaneously, leading to unintended stacking if you attempt to add a hat while one is already present. You might need a third hat to replace the newly added one.
