Avowed: Daiko's Delivery – A Risky Proposition

This guide details a side quest in Avowed's Living Lands, involving a shady merchant named Daiko and a mysterious delivery. The quest offers choices with different rewards.

Accepting the Quest

In Thirdborn, a bustling town with its share of unsavory characters, you'll encounter Daiko, a merchant with a proposition. He needs someone to retrieve a package, offering coin in return. Located southeast of the bounty board, he'll explain his predicament and the cryptic clues he received.

Following the Arrows

The delivery location isn't marked on your map. Instead, Daiko's supplier communicates through a trail of arrows scattered throughout Thirdborn and the surrounding wilderness. Following these arrows, some leading to dead ends, eventually reveals a graffiti message: "NW out of town, past the dy lakebed. Follow the arrows and find us under the X. Supplies are Limited."

This leads you to Deadfall Highlands, where more arrows point towards a large flag marked with an X. After navigating a spider nest, you'll find Aiko, Daiko's brother, injured but seemingly unconcerned. He provides the package. You can choose to lie about the goods' effects or pay him 500 cp before he succumbs to his spider bite.

Delivering the Goods

You have two choices:

• Give the goods to Daiko: He'll react to his brother's death with surprising nonchalance. You can choose to lie about the goods' effects (if sampled), tell the truth, or embellish the story. This concludes the quest.
• Give the goods to Tira Nui Hajime: The bounty collector in Thirdborn. He's less than thrilled but offers a trinket as a reward.
