Mount Hothead, a volcanic area in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, initially lacks flowing lava. This guide details how to complete the "Fire Up the Volcano" quest and unlock the Caldera.

Prerequisites:

To begin, you need:

• Friendship Level 11 with Retsuko.
• Completion of the "Enraging Ruins" quest (requires Friendship Level 7 with Retsuko and completion of "Power Up The Gate").

Once these are met, you can start "Fire Up the Volcano."

Quest Initiation:

1. Speak to Keroppi near the Mount Hothead cave entrance (located far left of the central mailbox on the map).
2. Inform Retsuko about the inactive volcano.
3. Return to Keroppi with Retsuko and enter the cave.

Navigating the Volcano's Interior:

The objective is to guide Retsuko (transforming into Aggretsuko) to sing, dislodging rocks and restoring lava flow in three areas:

• First Lava Pool: Immediately upon entering, Retsuko sings, filling the chasm. Cross the disappearing stone platforms to reach a minecart.

• Second Lava Pool: After the minecart ride, ascend the ramp (a chest is hidden on the left). Take the next minecart, choosing either staircase (a chest is on the left). Retsuko sings again, releasing lava. Two paths exist; the left path contains a chest with a Stamina Apple Slice and a photo opportunity with Gudatama.

• Third Lava Pool: Take another minecart (a chest is on a left rock island). Proceed to the final indoor lava pool. After Retsuko's song, quickly cross the tiles to reach the Caldera.

Filling the Caldera:

1. Use the mailbox to fast travel to the Caldera's top.
2. Equip the "Concert Outfit" (received during the quest) to transform into a volcano.
3. Sing with Keroppi to restore the lava flow.

Quest Completion:

Kiki and Lala will thank you, rewarding you with the Mount Hothead Star Fragment. Collect Keroppi's lost luggage (a quest item for "Lost Luggage") and take a picture of the nearby Gudatama.
