Neurodes are biotechnological sensor organs harvested from Infested entities, and you can find them as a rare resource that usually drops in quantities of 1 to 2. They can be obtained in the following ways:

  • As a Region Resource in Earth, Lua, Eris, and Deimos.
  • Mission Reward or Resource Cache Drop in numerous missions across the Origin System.
  • Dropped by certain boss enemies.
  • As a Conclave reward.
  • Purchasable from the Market for 10 Platinum per unit, or as a reusable Blueprint for 100 Platinum.

  • The Mods Thief's Wit, Loot Detector, and Animal Instinct will show the Resource Caches in the mini-map. To recognize a Resource Cache, these should show up as normal loot icons that won't be auto-looted if you're Close to them.
  • Resource Caches emit a distinctive sound when you're nearby, so turning the background music off will significantly help you locate them.
  • Resource Caches display a white light, different from the usual green or red ones.
