Being neighbors with the Lord of the Underworld is an exciting prospect, but it will take a bit of work to find and unlock him. For starters, he's not available right away when you arrive in the Storybook Vale, and you'll have to complete a few quests first before you can befriend this fiend.

Once you unlock the first region in Mythopia, the Elysian Fields, you're free to explore it. Make your way to the east to find the first Mythic Trial site, then report your findings to the Lorekeeper in her library.

She'll have you seek out Merida's help, and the two of you will head off towards the trial site. On the way there, you'll find two floating blue objects that look like Will-o'-the-Wisps. Catch them, then bring them to Merida

at the Mythic Trial site.

The wisps are actually blue flames, and you'll need to deposit one into each of the braziers. Then, use your net on the spinning wheel to open the portal

Guts & Glory Quest Walkthrough

Once inside the portal, you have access to the first Mythic Trial. Here, you'll meet Hades and help him navigate the trial

to retrieve the cart full of amphora vases bearing his visage.

Using your Royal Net to adjust platforms so you can cross the chasm, you'll continue to push the cart until it reaches the end of its track. From there, you'll follow Hades to the source of corruption

and interact with it.

It will bring you back to the Elysian Fields, where Hades will ask you to build him a house

. After you do, you can officially welcome him into your village.
