The 8BitDo Ultimate C Wired is available in Field Green and Lilac Purple, both of which are about what you'd expect — a sort of light, pastel green and an almost lavender purple. As you'd expect from the name, the Ultimate C Wired is a wired controller, although it unfortunately still uses a fixed USB Type-A cable. This means that, despite being technically compatible with both, you'll need a dock or USB hub to use it with the likes of the Steam Deck or an Android phone.

It also uses a standard Xbox layout and features minimal additional features over the standard input mode and button layout that you'd expect from an average controller. In addition to the obvious ABXY buttons, d-pad, dual joysticks, shoulder buttons, and analogue triggers, the Ultimate C Wired has dual vibration motors for variable rumble intensity.

While the Ultimate C Wired is 8BitDo's most basic full-size controller, it still features a customisable Turbo feature, which basically allows you to register multiple repeated keypresses without lifting your finger off a button. Another nice-to-have is the dimpled grip area, which should make it comfortable to use in long, sweaty gaming sessions — plus, it's not a soft-touch material, which means it should be a long-lasting finish.
