Some of these streams were even deceptively presented as coming from “Apple US” and featured a verified account checkmark, adding an extra layer of credibility to the fraudulent content.

In one scam stream, the fake Cook told viewers to deposit Bitcoin, promising Apple would double the amount. The message echoed the typical rhetoric of crypto scams, promising lucrative returns while stealing users’ funds.
