Injective Altaris: Transforming Layer One with Unmatched Scalability and Advanced Development Tools
Earlier this month, Injective announced the release of Injective Altaris on the mainnet, offering the most powerful chain improvement yet.
Injective recently announced that its native decentralized exchanges (DEXs) processed over $200 million in trading volume within the past 24 hours. This marks one of the busiest days for the Injective ecosystem, showcasing increased adoption and activity on the platform.
INJ, the native token of Injective, also saw positive momentum as the cryptocurrency market saw a broader recovery. At the time of writing, INJ trades around $16.50, up about 6.38% over the last 24 hours.
Injective Altaris: Unlocking Layer One with Unprecedented Scalability and Developer Tools
Earlier this month, Injective announced the launch of Injective Altaris on the mainnet, unveiling the most powerful chain upgrade to date. Altaris transforms the layer one landscape by introducing a plethora of new capabilities, ranging from enhanced scalability to innovative asset tokenization methodologies.
This marks the first major upgrade since the Volan launch in January 2024. With Altaris, the aim is to unveil the most advanced and optimized version of Injective to date.
Among Altaris' key features are significant enhancements in both scalability and developer tools. Clocking in as one of the fastest L1 chains, Altaris is built for speed, with optimizations for efficient data handling and resource management.
Developers will find much to appreciate with the advanced smart contract capabilities, as Altaris brings the latest support for WebAssembly (Wasm) 2.0, vastly expanding the possibilities for building advanced decentralized applications (dApps).
Additionally, Altaris introduces a much more cohesive infrastructure stack, enabling seamless interoperability and enhancing the overall utility and versatility of the Injective ecosystem, opening up new avenues for cross-chain applications and collaborations.
On a separate note, CNF previously reported that Injective integrates the Mountain Protocol by offering USDM, a native yield-bearing stablecoin backed by U.S. Treasury bills.
Backed by a 5% annual yield, USDM enables various real-world asset use cases within the Injective ecosystem.
Moreover, Ondo Finance has joined forces with Injective, introducing the USDY token to enhance capital efficiency in Injective dApps. In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Injective is advancing the adoption of tokenized assets by introducing the world’s first Real-World Asset (RWA) module, spanning FX, commodities and more.
