DB2 提供了用于与 DB2 服务器通信的客户机。DB2 客户机有三种类型：

当然，还有一些第三方的工具可以连接DB2，有：
■ Quest公司的QuestCentral和Toad（http://www.toadsoft.com/）
■ Embarcadero的DBArtisan和Rapid SQL
■ EMS的sql manager（http://www.sqlmanager.net/）
这些工具里面Toad和ems sql manager都有免费版本的工具可以使用，比IBM自带的客户端速度要快一些，界面也人性化一些（不得不在这里抱怨一下，IBM的工具做得实在是$%#^，太难用了）。这些工具里面好像Quest公司的QuestCentral用户要多一些，Toad就差一些，耗资源比较多，而且比较慢：（
哦，还有一个开源的java数据库工具squirrel-sql（http://squirrel-sql.sourceforge.net/），功能稍弱一些，不过这个工具最大的好处是只要有JDBC驱动就可以连数据库，不用限制于一种客户端只能连一种数据库了。
