如果IT没有微软,或者微软没有比尔
至少我认为这个假设很可怕,我不知道如果IT没有了微软会怎么样,即使你说视窗操作系统多么垃圾SQL Server多么低效Visual Studio多么难用,但是客观地说,微软的这些产品绝对称得上“最优秀之一”。每天我们发帖子骂视窗的时候用的就是你正在骂的东西,SQL Server使用范围之广泛实在是让其他厂商羡慕,微软的开发工具也成为了开发人员手中的利器。所以说,IT没有微软确实很可怕,但是如果微软没有比尔呢?也许就不仅仅是噩梦可以形容的了。比尔?盖茨对于微软来说,不仅仅是这个帝国的缔造者这么简单,应该说,比尔?盖茨是这个帝国的灵魂和核心,没有他,就不会有微软的今天,或者说微软不会有现在这样大的成就。比尔?盖茨的思维和决策,决定了微软运行的轨迹,也改变了IT业界,更深深影响了我们的生活。是他带领着微软,为我们奉献着一个又一个技术和应用的奇迹。有人说:“盖茨对软件的贡献,就像爱迪生对灯泡的贡献一样,集创新者、企业家、推销员和全能的天才于一身。”
你可以说微软垄断,你可以说比尔每天都从股市捞取大量银子,你可以说即使为软件付出费用依然漏洞百出,但是你无法否定微软对整个业界的影响和比尔对微软的贡献。

最近除了退休的消息,另外一个关于比尔的新闻也大大吸引了大众的眼球:盖茨表示,将把自己580亿美元财产全数捐给名下慈善基金比尔及梅琳达盖茨基金会,一分一毫也不会留给自己子女。他说:“我和妻子希望以最能够产生正面影响的方法回馈社会。”
