macos - 为什么在 linux 或者 mac 上有很多的配置文件都是以 rc 结尾的呢？

如题，发现 vim的配置文件是以 rc 结尾的，bash 的配置文件有的也是以 rc 结尾的？那么 rc 到底是什么意思？

其实 rc 有很多种解释，比较容易理解的有：run commands，runtime configuration 等等。个人觉得比较靠谱的是这个：

The ‘rc’ suffix goes back to Unix's grandparent, CTSS.
It had a command-script feature called "runcom". Early
Unixes used ‘rc’ for the name of the operating system's
boot script, as a tribute to CTSS runcom.
