弄了两天的ECShop，也接触了些smarty模板，自己没学过smarty，但在ECShop中用到了，不知道，目前的趋势，还有必要学smarty吗？？

如果是工作中项目代码要用到，多看看其它代码就好了，不需要刻意看文档学习；
其它情况？ 完！全！不！需！要！去！学！习！
1.PHP本身就是最好的模板语言；
2.尝试着学习一下Angular Or React，你发现再也不想在模板中看到任何PHP代码了；
如果工作需要，当然有必要学！况且，模板引擎也不难学。
如果就单纯从PHP模板引擎的趋势来看，你可以关注一下Twig，目前综合水平最棒的PHP模板引擎！
学习指的是 研究源码 还是 学会使用 ？
研究可以。 使用的话，等有需要的时候再学怎么用就行了。这么多技术，不可能都提前去学会。
smarty是你人生中接触的第一个模板么？反正是我的第一个。当你用了thinkPHP，laravel之后，你会发现有更好的模板供你选择，你会慢慢找到合适自己的模板，你会发现原来大多数模板都差不多的，花个几分钟了解一下大致的语法规范写起来还是非常快的。这样一来，就没有必要专门为了一个模板而去学习模板，应该是根据你现在的生产环境来选择。当然nodejs里的模板语言也是差不多的。
不提倡，现在一般都会采取前后端分离的做法，但是开发后台模板引擎还是比较快
可以试试python的flask框架，简洁异常
如果是工作需要，肯定是需要熟悉一下的，目前维护的一个系统就是基于SMARTY的。
当然现在还有很多的模板引擎，公司使用的twig和vuejs,当然还有React。

完全没有必要.PHP本身就是非常的好的模板引擎.我们为何还要封装一次?有人说,为了让前段看起来更舒服.我想说,前端看的更舒服了,但是他们还是要学习一种模板引擎的语言.但是如果学会了原生的PHP模板引擎.那么以后用这一个就ok.哪有这么多的事情.

可以看一下，了解一下模板的原理，真正用的时候对着API用就好了
没必要特意学它吧，现在应该用的不多，很多框架也都有自己的模板，模板原理都差不多，需要的时候，随便了解下模板怎么渲染数据，模板的if else怎么用，foreach怎么用，一般都够了。
搞了十年程序，只在ecshop中用过smarty，所以我认为没有必要学，除非你使用的架构中已经包含它。php其实也是一种模板语言，可以与HTML混写，所以PHP模板引擎向来都有点鸡肋。
会了一个之后学其他的就有概念了，这个模板适合入门吧，我一开始也是学这个，后来学框架，框架里都有自己的模板，而且用法比这个简单些，比如laravel中的模板就是很简单的语法。thinkphp中的和smarty类似，好像用的就是smarty吧。
如果要用PHP模板，首选Twig，上面已有人推荐。楼上，thinkPHP一直是自己的模板引擎，从未用smarty
