甲骨文前总裁论业内格局 适应客户需求是关键_MySQL

4月6日消息 本周二，在旧金山举行的2006软件大会上，甲骨文公司前任总裁，风险投资家Ray Lane称，尽管企业软件市场格局发生了变化，但对于那些能适时调整的公司仍有很大的机会。
他指出，企业软件业增长速度放缓，利润也在下降。现在，业内85%的利润集中在15家企业，其中3家大型公司利润最大。比如，微软公司占了很大的利润份额。目前，Ray Lane是风投公司Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers 的普通合伙人。
他表示，客户对软件公司的服务和产品越来越感到不满意，因为厂商总是把过时的产品出售给他们。客户质疑，他们为什么要为软件补丁交费。"客户对业内的情况很不满意，他们对软件厂商的产品和服务极为不爽，对业内认为的业务模式感到不满。"
同时，印度、中国的电脑科技人才数量远远超过了美国，美国不再占优势地位。"美国正在越来越多地从中国和印度吸纳人才，我认为，软件业处于十字路口。"尽管业内存在种种问题，但软件厂商也面临很多的机会，主要是因为IT专才和IT开支的增长加快，而且风投也青睐软件业，"用于软件业的风投资金达到了50亿美元，这令我吃惊。"
为了取得成功，企业必须新的模式，诸如把软件做为一种服务。同时，创新也十分重要。软件厂商需要找到那些尚未涉足的领域，以满足客户的需求。企业有大量的人工指令有利于业内的自动化，个人价值也必须由软件推动。
他提出了软件业需要遵守的七大"法则"： 一是服务个人需求； 二是寻求有组织的策略； 三是提供关联性的个人信息； 四是提供非数据进入或培训； 五是提供适时的价值； 六是通过社区和个人关系加深对用户消费习惯的了解； 七是最小化的IT成本。 在1990年代，企业软件用于个人用户，而现在企业软件必须有协作功能，诸如维客等。同时，他提出了科技学者Bill Joy关于网络的六大概念：亲近网络，用于桌面；远处网络，用于娱乐；此地网络，诸如PDA产品等；怪异网络，比如具有网络功能的汽车等；设备对设备的通讯以及企业对企业的通讯等。他指出，这六种形态的网络将会进入企业市场。
在谈到MySQL等开源公司的发展趋势时，他认为这些企业不会对微软、IBM等构成威胁。这些大型的企业仍可以投入大量的资金用于研发。Sand Hill Group组织的创始人 Rangaswami称，Web 2.0技术开始用于消费者产品中，比如维客和播客等，随后这种技术会进入企业市场。"当Web 2.0技术进入企业市场后，它会实现赢利。"播客或是维客等，用户不进行交费，而企业则会体现其价值。
