MSI motherboards open 6.4GHz CPU overclocking profile, expected to be used in Core i9-14900KS
According to news from this site on March 14, multiple sources said that the Intel Core i9-14900KS flagship processor will be released today (March 14), bringing a maximum frequency of 6.2GHz.
According to the BiOS interface information posted by @g01d3nm4ng0, MSI will open a CPU overclocking profile up to 6.4/5.9GHz, which is expected to be for i9- 14900KS ready for overclocking.
The new profiles include 6.4/5.8 GHz and 6.4/5.9 GHz, where the first number refers to the Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB) frequency and the other One number is the Turbo Boost Max 3.0 frequency.
According to previous reports on this site, retailer SE Computer confirmed that the Intel Core i9-14900KS will be available on March 14 and is currently accepting pre-orders. The pre-order price is 27% higher than the i9-14900K.
The Core i9-14900KS processor is the last high-end CPU for the LGA-1700 platform and the last desktop CPU to use the old naming pattern.
This processor is based on the Raptor Lake-S architecture, with 8P 16E, a total of 24 cores and 32 threads, with 36MB L3 and 32MB L2 cache. The P core frequency has been increased by 200MHz to 6.2GHz (up to three P cores 6.2 GHz, full core 5.9GHz), the E core increased by 100MHz to 4.5GHz, and the maximum TDP also increased from 125W to 150W. This player recorded a maximum power consumption of 432W in the test.
The above is the detailed content of MSI motherboards open 6.4GHz CPU overclocking profile, expected to be used in Core i9-14900KS. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!

How to Overclock Computer CPUs With the continuous advancement of technology, people's demand for computer performance is also getting higher and higher. An effective way to improve computer performance is to increase the CPU's operating frequency through overclocking. Overclocking allows the CPU to process data faster, providing higher computing power. So, how to overclock a computer CPU? The following will introduce you to the basic principles and specific operation methods of overclocking. First, let's understand how overclocking works. The operating frequency of the CPU is determined by the crystal oscillator on the motherboard

Intel XTU is a powerful application that allows you to easily manage your computer's performance. You can fix overheating issues by adjusting the CPU voltage, or boost performance by overclocking. In this article, we'll look at how you can take advantage of Intel XTU to optimize your computer's performance, whether that's adjusting voltage or overclocking. What effect do undervolting and overclocking have on the CPU? Before we move on to learning how to undervolt and overclock a CPU, we first have to understand what they are. Undervolting refers to gradually reducing the voltage required by the CPU. This process helps reduce heat emissions, as high voltage results in higher temperatures. By reducing the voltage supply to the CPU, the temperature can be effectively reduced. If your laptop starts to slow down after getting hot, you should solve the problem promptly.

CPU overclocking software includes: 1. Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, suitable for Intel processors; 2. AMD Ryzen Master, specially designed for AMD Ryzen processors; 3. MSI Afterburner, mainly used for graphics card overclocking, but can also be used to adjust the CPU Frequency and voltage; 4. ASUS AI Suite, used to adjust CPU parameters and voltage on ASUS motherboards to achieve overclocking and performance optimization.

Monitor overclocking means that the screen refresh frequency exceeds the maximum range that the current monitor can display. Overclocking is a technical means to increase the main frequency of the chip by adjusting hardware settings to obtain performance exceeding the rated frequency. The reasons for monitor overclocking are: 1. Manually setting the frequency leads to overclocking; 2. The monitor configuration is low; 3. The driver is incompatible.

How to enable TPM2.0 on MSI motherboard? Many users’ computers use this motherboard hardware. For some users who like DIY, turning on TPM2.0 can improve performance, but many users don’t know how to set it up to enable it. Faced with this problem, this issue The software tutorial is here to share with you the detailed setting method. Friends in need are welcome to check out the method. Introduction to how to enable TPM2.0 on MSI motherboards How to enable AMD platform: 1. Continuously press the startup shortcut key "del" or "F2" to enter the bios setting interface when the computer is restarted or turned on. 2. Then press the "F7" key

Display overclocking means that the resolution or refresh rate set by the host system exceeds the maximum range that the current monitor can display. Solution: 1. Restart the computer and enter safe mode; 2. Right-click on the desktop, select "Screen Resolution", and click "Advanced Settings"; 3. Select one from the displayed list of valid modes and click "OK" - Just "Apply".

According to news from this site on June 16, following AMD’s release of the EPYC EPYC 4004 series processors for the AM5 platform, MSI launched the D3052GB2N-25GMicro-ATX motherboard at the Computex 2024 Taipei International Computer Show. According to reports, the MSI D3052 motherboard uses an AM5 slot, is compatible with both Ryzen 7000 series and EPYC 4004 series processors, and is equipped with 4 DDR5 DIMM memory slots. It is worth noting that this motherboard is equipped with dual 25Gbps rate SFP28 network ports (Intel E810-XXVAM2 network card). This site noticed that the MSI D3052 motherboard is also equipped with 4 SATA3.0 interfaces, 2 SATA2.0 interfaces, and 1 M.2

According to news from this site on January 30, MSI officially announced the Z790MPOWER motherboard yesterday. This return of the MPOWER series focuses on memory overclocking, claiming to “easily achieve memory frequencies of 8000MHz+”. MSI said that this motherboard will be launched in the near future. According to foreign media Wccftech, it was priced at 1,599 yuan. Similar to the MEGUNIFY-X series previously launched by MSI, the Z790MPOWER motherboard adopts a 1SPC (1 slot per channel) design, which can reduce motherboard memory signal loss and improve signal clarity. MSI also equipped this motherboard with an EZDashboard daughter board, which integrates power, restart, clear CMOS buttons and LED debug indicators to facilitate overclocking players for testing. According to MSI official
