java json Ignore fields

In Java, how can we ignore certain fields during JSON serialization?

If there are fields in the Java object that we do not want to be serialized, we can use the @JsonIgnore annotation in the Jackson library . @JsonIgnore can be used to ignore fields during serialization and deserialization.

import java.io.*;
import java.util.*;
import com.fasterxml.jackson.core.*;
import com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.*;
import com.fasterxml.jackson.annotation.*;
public class JsonIgnoreAnnotationTest {
   public static void main(String args[]) throws JsonGenerationException, JsonMappingException, IOException {
      Employee emp = new Employee();
      emp.setFirstName("Raja");
      emp.setLastName("Ramesh");
      emp.setEmpId(120);
      emp.getTechnologies().add("Java");
      emp.getTechnologies().add("Scala");
      emp.getTechnologies().add("Python");
      ObjectMapper mapper = new ObjectMapper();
      mapper.writerWithDefaultPrettyPrinter().writeValue(System.out, emp);

   public void setEmpId(int empId) {
      this.empId = empId;

Break or return from Java 8 stream forEach? Break or return from Java 8 stream forEach? Feb 07, 2025 pm 12:09 PM

Java 8 introduces the Stream API, providing a powerful and expressive way to process data collections. However, a common question when using Stream is: How to break or return from a forEach operation? Traditional loops allow for early interruption or return, but Stream's forEach method does not directly support this method. This article will explain the reasons and explore alternative methods for implementing premature termination in Stream processing systems. Further reading: Java Stream API improvements Understand Stream forEach The forEach method is a terminal operation that performs one operation on each element in the Stream. Its design intention is
