Bing Chat on the web now supports voice input
Bing Chat changes the way we interact with Bing, while also giving us a new way of thinking about search engines. Now, it's getting a long-awaited addition: you can interact with it using your voice.
Now you need to type your tip or query to have Bing Chat respond to you. Compared with voice assistants such as Siri or Google Assistant, which can interact through voice, this method forms a clear contrast, making the latter more convenient. Now, though, Bing Chat is getting voice support on the desktop platform. The mobile Bing app already has voice input.
Now, desktop users can experience the convenience of voice typing by clicking the microphone icon in the Bing chat box. The language model currently supports voice input in English, Japanese, French, German and Mandarin, and more languages will be supported in the future.
But it doesn’t stop there. In addition to giving you the ability to speak prompts out loud instead of typing them, Bing Chat also introduces text-to-speech answers, so you can not only use it to speak but also have the answers read to you. You can now receive responses via Bing Chat's unique voice feature, instead of just being limited to text format.
