IT House noticed that multiple Samsung related people told Korean media that all other internal software development organizations are restricted from using GPUs, and major affiliated companies have also established artificial intelligence development teams, because of "GPU Plays a key role in artificial intelligence learning human language and data."
It is reported that Samsung has invested all its GPU resources into artificial intelligence development in order to achieve the goal of completing the first version of LLM within two months.
The large language model Samsung is developing will initially be used for internal tasks such as software development, document summarization and language translation. It is reported that Samsung initially used generative AI such as ChatGPT. Samsung initially believed that artificial intelligence could greatly shorten the cycle of software development and semiconductor design, so it was initially interested in various ways to introduce artificial intelligence. But after internal information leaked in April, the company temporarily banned the use of generative AI on internal PCs.

According to foreign media reports, Samsung Group Chairman Lee Jae-yong believes that the company should develop its own artificial intelligence as soon as possible. Because in addition to worrying about core technology data leakage, the underlying reason is that the company will increasingly rely on the technology of overseas technology companies.
Therefore, Samsung wants to improve productivity by developing its own artificial intelligence, rather than relying on third-party generative AI developed by OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google, among others. However, Samsung has not yet decided whether to make this "ChatGPT-like" large language model under development available to the public.
