According to news on June 2, the ISO version of Arch Linux system 2023.06.01 has been released, equipped with the Linux 6.3 kernel series, which debuted at the end of April 2023.
Linux kernel 6.3 made its way to the Arch Linux stable repository just weeks after its initial release, but it didn’t make it to the ISO image last month. The Arch Linux 2023.06.01 image ships with Linux kernel 6.3.5 by default and arrived in the repository on May 30.
The Arch Linux 2023.06.01 version also comes with the archinstall 2.5.6 text mode installer, which is a small update to the Arch Linux default installer, improves the desktop configuration file and resolves /boot/loader/entries /entry.conf
The latest package version released in May 2023 is also included in the new Arch Linux ISO snapshot to provide users with the best hardware support for new installations, especially those using previous Users who are experiencing hardware issues when installing ISO.
Since Arch Linux follows a rolling release model, where users install once and receive updates continuously, existing users do not need to download a new ISO snapshot to update their installation, but can simply run it in their favorite terminal emulator sudo pacman -Syu command.
