How to enable the new app selector on Windows 11
Microsoft has redesigned most of the inbox apps (Media Player, Notepad, Paint, Photos, Task Manager), services, and components in Windows 11 . This is not a case of the app selector, nor is it a case of opening with a dialog box that allows you to select another app to open the file. It's already present in the outdated design of Windows 8 metro, in fact, Microsoft has updated the look and feel of the Windows 11 design in build 22563, but it's hidden, here's how you can Enable it.
When you try to open a file that has a supported program installed, Windows displays options in the Open With dialog box and lets you choose to always use the selected app to open the file.
The "How do you want to open this file" dialog now looks like this in Windows 11.
The interface suggests continuing to use the current application and lists other options, it also allows to find another application on the PC and provides a checkbox at the bottom to always Use this application to open such files.
The dialog interface or UI has finally been updated. The new redesigned app selector now displays Default Apps, Recommended Apps, and Always and Only Once (options) words in the UI.

Sometimes, however, you may need to run a program, such as a game, at a higher level than the default normal level to improve its performance. But this comes at a cost, and it's a deal worth pondering. What happens when you set an app to high priority? Windows has a total of six priority levels for running different processes and programs - low, below normal, normal, above normal, high and real-time.
