How to install nginx under docker

1. Environment Description

docker: 18.03.1-ce

nginx: 1.15.1

2. Pull The latest Nginx image

Pull the image

$ docker pull nginx
Copy after login

View the current image

$ docker images
# 查询结果:
REPOSITORY  TAG   IMAGE ID   CREATED   SIZE
nginx    latest  8b89e48b5f15 7 hours ago  109MB
Copy after login

3. Preparation work

This time, the web service will be deployed in /srv/ Under the web directory:

1. Create the /srv/web directory and enter the directory

$ cd /srv && mkdir web && cd web

2. Create an Nginx container and copy the default configuration of Nginx:

Create container:

$ docker run -d --name nginx nginx
从容器中拷贝配置文件至本地:
# 查看 ==> 获取容器ID
$ docker container ls
# 在当前目录下创建目录:conf 
$ mkdir conf
# 拷贝容器内 Nginx 默认配置文件到本地当前目录下的 conf 目录
$ docker cp a89b2c5f3dd1:/etc/nginx/nginx.conf $PWD/conf
删除容器:
# 停止容器
$ docker container stop a89b2c5f3dd1
# 删除容器
$ docker container rm a89b2c5f3dd1

4. Start formal deployment

Deployment command:

$ docker run -d -p 8081:80 --name nginx-web-6666 -v $PWD/html:/usr/share/nginx/html -v $PWD/conf/nginx.conf:/etc/nginx/nginx.conf -v $PWD/logs:/var/log/nginx nginx

Command details:

  • -d # Indicates that the container is always running in the background

  • -p 8081:80 # Map the port and map the local 8081 port to the 80 port inside the container

  • --name # Set the name of the created container

  • -v # Mount the local directory (file) to the specified directory of the container;

5. Test

If it is a local test deployment, open: localhost:8081 to access the web server;

2. Supplement:

Because the root directory of nginx in the container is mounted to the local specified directory, the page accessed above should report a 403 error; next, we can start our project at /srv/web/html/;

3. Enter the local directory: /srv/web/html/ and create the test file index.html

$ cd /srv/web/html
# 创建并随便编写内容 重新刷新页面
$ vim index.html
