While encounters with him are frequent, building a bond is a different matter entirely. Unlike other characters, gifting Shion through the Gift-O-Matic is impossible. Instead, strategic interactions at specific locations are key to strengthening your connection. This bond, however, remains unrecorded on your Report Card and doesn't contribute to the "Unbreakable Bonds" achievement.

Your journey to bond with Shion is exclusively confined to the Last Defense Academy 2nd Scenario route. Despite his presence in other routes, bonding opportunities are unavailable elsewhere. Fortunately, maximizing Shion's bond is straightforward and doesn't require a specific order. The location dictates the unique scene you'll witness. Importantly, spending time with Shion doesn't affect the in-game clock, allowing for additional activities after each interaction.

Shion's bond level increases only at these locations. He must be present in the room, and it must be your first conversation with him that day:

• Training Room
• Library
• Bio Lab
• Courtyard
• Infirmary

The sequence is irrelevant; simply ensure Shion is present. A bond event triggers when the scene transitions to black, distinct from a regular conversation. If only a casual chat ensues, you're either in the wrong location or have already experienced a bond event that day. Wait until the next day (or utilize time travel) to retry.
