Beating Ultimate Sakapatate in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is something you'll have the choice to do after you find the Blue Mushroom location for Karatom, an eager little Gestral in Gestral Village that wants their creation to stand out from the rest.

Once you've returned to Gestral Village to give Karatom the Blue Mushroom, they'll then get very brave and cocky while challenging you to a battle with their new and improved creation in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. How to prepare for Ultimate Sakapatate in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

Before you face Ultimate Sakapatate, we recommend resting your party to get their HP back to its maximum level and then increasing their attributes or skills if you can. Though Ultimate Sakapatate is a Gestral, it's not as simple as the others you've faced before - however, its attacks will be familiar and this will give you an edge when it comes to dodging (or parrying if you're brave.)

These are the Pictos, Lumina Abilties and weapon we used with Gustave (Level 15) for this battle:

• Sakaram (Level 6) - Weapon.
• Augmented Aim - Pictos and Lumina.
• Dead Energy II - Pictos and Lumina.
• SOS Shell - Pictos and Lumina.

However, it's worth noting that is what we chose to use and you may prefer a different selection or build of Gustave to take into this battle. If you're finding that one arrangement or weapon isn't working for you, then it's always worth switching things up to see if another method suits you better.

How to beat Ultimate Sakapatate in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

To help you in this battle, here are some tips for beating Ultimate Sakapatate in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33:

• Use Overcharge when it's maxed out - Wait for Gustave's Overcharge ability to be maxed out (red) before using it, but use it as soon as it reaches this point to inflict a lot of damage.
• Juice Overcharge with Powerful - If you've got this skill equipped, and you've got enough AP for it to work in conjuction with Overcharge, then boosting Gustave with it will increase the damage your maxed out Overcharge attack will do.
• Dodging is easier than Parrying - This enemy packs a punch if it catches you, though Parrying can be more rewarding with a counter attack if you time it perfectly, it's safer to dodge incoming attacks to keep your health up.
• Dodge when you see the Cannons flash - We found that dodging when you see the Cannons flash helps you get a perfect dodge almost every time, but again your timing needs to be perfect to get this so it might take a couple of attempts to get it right.
• The weak point is its shoulder behind the shield - When it's exposed, attacking the weak point shoulder behind the shield with an 'Aim' attack will deal significant damage to Ultimate Sakapatate. You won't get a lot of chances to do this, so make sure you make every chance count.
• Dodge electric when it's close - It sounds really unhelpful, but dodging when the electric attacks are just about to hit you will work in your favour. If you dodge too early, the electric will hit you and can take you out in only a few attacks.
• Assess your weapon - If you find that you're struggling to win this fight then return to camp and upgrade your weapon with The Curator.

Once you've defeated Ultimate Sakapatate you'll get the Pure Outfit for Gustave as a reward.
