Growth Spurt Hatch Challenge

The "Growth Spurt" Collection Challenge requires hatching specific Pokémon from eggs before May 7th, 8 PM (local time) to claim rewards and contribute to the Elite Collector medal. Trading or obtaining these Pokémon through other means won't count.

• Wimpod: Hatch a 2km egg
• Riolu: Hatch a 2km egg
• Happiny: Hatch a 2km egg

Rewards: Tandemaus encounter, 5000 XP, and 5000 Stardust.

Event Field Research Tasks

Spinning PokéStops during the event may award exclusive research tasks, which can be completed later. Examples include:

• Evolve a Pokémon (Magikarp, Wailmer, Swablu, or Wimpod encounter reward)
• Power up a Pokémon 5 times (Magikarp, Wailmer, Swablu, or Wimpod encounter reward)
• Trade a Pokémon (Tandemaus encounter reward)

Additional Event Details

The "Growing Up" event runs until May 7th, 8 PM (local time), offering several bonuses: double evolution XP, double hatch candy, increased odds of finding XXS/XXL Pokémon, and boosted shiny rates for Wimpod (wild and eggs), Magikarp, and Swablu (wild).

Japan/Korea Exclusive Bonuses (May 4th, 10 AM – May 5th, 8 PM local time): Double catch Stardust, a Timed Research quest, extra field research tasks rewarding Wimpod Candy and Tandemaus encounters, a Force Palm Lucario from evolving Riolu, and halved egg hatch distances.

Increased wild spawns include: Magikarp, Wailmer, Swablu, Foongus, Dedenne, Cutiefly, Wimpod, Rookidee, and Nymble.

Event-exclusive eggs: Mime Jr. (5km), and Toxel (10km, remaining after event). 2km eggs will contain Happiny, Riolu, and Wimpod.

Happiny and Wimpod are available in event-exclusive 2km eggs.

PokéStop Showcases are also running during the event. A paid ($4.99 or equivalent) research quest offering a new avatar pose is available, but must be completed before May 7th, 8 PM (local time).
