Blue Prince: All Burning Glass Uses

The estate of Mt. Holly in is full of puzzles and mysteries, with a new challenge hiding behind every corner (literally).

Whether you’re using a Burning Glass that you created at a workshop, or a Self Igniting Torch that you’ve purchased from the armory, there are multiple places where an open flame will unlock new secrets when used correctly.

How to Craft the Burning Glass

If you haven't already, you'll need to craft the Burning Glass on the bench in the Workshop, which requires two components: the Metal Detector and the magnifying glass. If you can't find all the locations in a single day to use the Burning Glass, we recommend storing it in the Coat Check until the following day, so you don't have to get lucky and find all three items in a single day again.

Alternatively, if you’ve unlocked the Armory and have it in your drafting pool, you can purchase the Self-Igniting Torch, which behaves exactly the same as the Burning Glass.

Where to Use the Burning Glass

There are multiple places where the Burning Glass (or the Torch) can be used to light or melt things:

• Apple Orchard: The sundial in the far corner across from the Shed can be scorched as part of the microchip puzzle.
• Tomb: There are two secret areas that can be accessed by lighting the two pairs of bronze candlesticks inside the Tomb.
• The Outdoor Tunnel: Across from the four blue torches, there’s a path leading to a large tunnel full of crates. Inside, there is a pair of torches that can be lit, as well as a second pair on the other side of the crates blocking your path
• Chapel: The two candles on bronze candlesticks can be lit, revealing a new secret underneath the podium.
• Freezer: The contents of the large cooler at the end of the room can be unfrozen, revealing a letter and a special key.
• Trading Post: The fuse on the bundle of dynamite can be lit, blowing up the wall and revealing a secret room on the other side.
• Underground Roundtable: Past the basement door beneath the fountain, there’s a room with a round table in the center surrounded by bronze candlesticks. Light all of them to reveal a spiral staircase that leads to a door, which when opened unlocks a pathway to the glass elevator.
