One easy-to-miss puzzle in is perched on the edge of a nearby cliff, on the overlook platform on the south side of the property bearing four unlit torches. This may just be a secret entrance to the basement.

Down the steps leading from the driveway, there is a square marble platform with four unlit torches on each corner overlooking the landscape. You'll notice two gas lines leading to either side of the square; this is because each of the four torches can be turned on when the corresponding valves are all switched back on.

Valve #1: Apple Orchard

The first valve can be found inside the Apple Orchard by the tents, and is located next to the metal pipe on the north edge of the orchard. It can be easily turned on by interacting with it, which will play a cutscene showing the flame being lit.

To access it, you'll need to open the gate to the Apple Orchard by finding the code to the padlock inside the Darkroom. For a more detailed description of how to unlock the Apple Orchard gate, you can check out our guide here.

Valve #2: Gemstone Caverns

The second valve can be found next to the entrance inside the Gem Caverns. If you haven't unlocked the Gem Caverns yet, you'll need to head to the Supply Closet and complete the VAC puzzle in the Circuit Breaker using the clues found in the Mail Room. Valve #3: Hovel

The third valve can only be accessed by drafting the Hovel in the Outer Room behind the West Gate. If you haven't unlocked the West Gate Path, you'll need to access it via the garage door, which can be turned on at the circuit breaker, as detailed in our guide here.

The gas valve inside the Hovel is located next to the stove inside the room, and will activate the third torch once it has been turned on.

Valve #4: Schoolhouse

The final valve is located inside the Schoolhouse, which is also drafted in the Outer Room (you'll need to start a new day to draft it, or multiple if it doesn't appear as an option). The valve is located on the backside of the furnace in the center of the room.

Take the Glass Elevator

Once all four valves have been turned on, a cutscene will play, revealing a glass elevator that can be used by the player to reach a secret cliffside tunnel below. This tunnel contains a ton of secrets, including a new puzzle that rewards the player with permanent effects, and a new secret entrance to the basement (once you figure out how to unlock it).
