Your target, J'Ghasta, anticipates your arrival and is prepared for a fight. He's even bribed the guards! But there's a clever way to avoid a confrontation entirely.

J'Ghasta's awareness and paid-off guards mean you can't rely on town NPCs. Despite his precautions, a stealthy approach is key.

Starting Broken Vows

"Broken Vows" begins after completing "Next of Kin." You'll travel to Bruma to eliminate J'Ghasta. He's aware of your coming and has paid the guards to ignore any disturbances.

Easily Eliminating J'Ghasta

Find J'Ghasta's house in Bruma's southern section, next to Brotch Calus' residence. Enter after midnight for the element of surprise. J'Ghasta will appear to be absent, but he's downstairs.

Descend to the lower level and locate a trapdoor concealed beneath some folded clothes. This leads to a secret training room. Sneak inside; you'll find J'Ghasta asleep.

Perform a sneak attack for a significant advantage, swiftly eliminating him before he can react. With careful maneuvering, you can defeat him without taking damage.

Locating the Black Hand Set

Before entering the training room, pick the hard lock on the downstairs keg to obtain a Black Hand Robe and Hood. These boost Sneak, Illusion, Marksman, Blade, and Speechcraft by 11 (Robe) and 4 (Hood) points respectively.

After eliminating J'Ghasta, proceed to the Old Bridge south of the Imperial City (below the Waterfront District).

Broken Vows Rewards

Search the rotten box under the bridge to receive 500 gold and your fourth set of Dead Drop Orders, immediately initiating the next quest, "Final Justice."
