Nothing Sub-Brand CMF Announces the Stylish Phone 2 Pro and 3 New Earbuds
Nothing's CMF brand unveils four stylish new gadgets, headlined by a smartphone upgrade. The CMF Phone Pro 2 boasts a sleek, lightweight design (7.8mm thin, 6.5 ounces), powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G processor for enhanced performance. CMF claims a two-day battery life, though this remains to be seen in real-world use.
The CMF Phone Pro 2 features a vibrant 6.77-inch FHD AMOLED display. Its triple-camera system includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide lens, complemented by a 16MP front camera. A unique modular camera system allows for quick attachment of fisheye or macro lenses. The phone retains the threaded mounting hole on the rear, initially supporting a lanyard. A magnetically attached wallet stand and friction-fit interchangeable lenses are also available.
The CMF Phone Pro 2 is available in four stylish color options: black (frosted glass), light green (frosted glass), orange (metallic sheen), and white (sandstone finish). The 256GB model is priced at an attractive $279, but US availability is initially limited to the company's beta program, with pre-orders opening now and shipping scheduled for May 6th.
Alongside the smartphone, CMF introduces three new earbuds:
- CMF Buds 2: Entry-level earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and simulated spatial audio.
- CMF Buds 2 Plus: Adds hi-res LDAC codec support and a customizable equalizer.
- CMF Buds 2a: Budget-friendly earbuds that still include ANC.
These earbuds will launch internationally on May 6th, excluding the US, with prices starting at approximately $38 (Buds 2a), $50 (Buds 2), and $65 (Buds 2 Plus).
