Proton Mail and Calendar Apps Get Major Overhaul: New Features and Improved Performance
Proton Technologies is giving its popular email and calendar apps a significant upgrade for iOS and Android users. This spring and summer will see the biggest overhaul yet for Proton Mail, introducing features that rival Gmail's functionality while maintaining Proton's commitment to user privacy. The updated apps will boast improved performance, enhanced controls, and better iPad support.
Proton Mail's Transformation:
The revamped Proton Mail app will include a new Category View for easier email organization, and a streamlined Attachment View to access and manage all received files directly within the app, including easy saving to Proton Drive. Other key additions are a newsletter management tool, offline mode, advanced search capabilities, and significantly faster performance. Proton Mail for Business will also receive updates, including custom domain support and email retention controls. Anant Vijay, Product lead for Proton Mail, stated, "This spring and summer, we're launching some of the biggest Proton Mail updates yet. With smarter ways to manage your inbox and faster, rebuilt mobile apps, we're giving you more ways to stay organized and get things done — all while staying firmly in charge of your data."
