Bleach: Soul Resurrection's often-overlooked Story Mode surpasses typical anime fighter standards. While animations might be inconsistent, the campaign offers a surprisingly substantial and creative take on the Bleach storyline. Its length alone makes the effort to complete it worthwhile, even if it's not a perfect replacement for other game modes.

Beyond the main story lies a "Secret Story" mode with its own progression. Initially, many missions are locked, but unlocking them is a rewarding challenge for dedicated single-player enthusiasts.

Unlocking Secret Stories

Secret stories are divided among 21 characters across three arcs: six from the World of the Living, fifteen from Soul Society, and ten from Hueco Mundo. Each character features three or four missions, unlocked by completing various tasks. These tasks can include finishing main story missions (including secret missions and moments within them), secret story missions, or specific objectives within battles.

Main Story missions often include bonus objectives, such as Secret Missions or Secret Moments, detailed in the pre-battle menu. These often involve fulfilling specific combat conditions or performing unique Kikon or Spiritual Moves.
