'The Life List' Dethroned In Netflix's Top 10 List By A New Movie
This past week's top Netflix recommendation? Hands down, One of Them Days, the hilarious comedy starring SZA and Keke Palmer. This 2025 gem boasts impressive 93% and 90% critic and audience scores, respectively – a truly rare feat. Here's the premise:
"Best friends and roommates Dreux (Keke Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) are about to have One of Them Days. When they discover Alyssa's boyfriend has squandered their rent money, the pair embarks on a chaotic and comical race against time to avoid eviction and preserve their friendship."
Recently added to Netflix, One of Them Days has quickly climbed the charts to the #1 spot. It's not a Netflix original, but a licensed acquisition – a testament to Netflix's impressive ability to secure high-quality content.
Another strong performer, The Life List starring Sofia Carson (known for Carry-On and Purple Hearts), shows a wider gap between critic (47%) and audience (73%) scores. This adaptation of Lori Nelson Spielman's novel has clearly resonated with viewers, despite less enthusiastic critical reception. While this appears to be a standalone novel, Spielman has other works that could potentially be adapted in the future.
Interestingly, the list highlights some notable absences. The Electric State, Netflix's most expensive film ever ($320 million), has completely fallen out of the top 10 and shows little chance of reaching the all-time top 10, receiving significantly fewer views than The Life List this week.
In short, I wholeheartedly recommend One of Them Days. It's a laugh-out-loud movie for everyone, and its current success is well-deserved.

New York Times Connections game tips and answers (Friday, April 18) Hello everyone, connecters! Happy weekend! I mentioned that this is WrestleMania weekend the other day, so today and tomorrow I may be watching a lot of wrestling matches. It should be very interesting! Oh, of course, I will definitely watch the latest episode of The Last of Us tomorrow. I wrote an article about the key changes made from The Last of Us 2 in Season 1 and why I thought it was a good decision (although I had some reservations initially): The first major change in Season 2 of The Last of Us appears to be to protect Abby’s cast I'm not worried at all about the next episode? Aside from that, I don't know what I'm going to do this weekend because I'm alone. Maybe I should
