NYT 'Connections' Hints And Answers For Friday, April 4
Tips and Answers on the New York Times puzzle game "Connections" Thursday (April 3)
Hello everyone! Hope you guys have had a great week and it’s time to turn your attention to the weekend.
No matter what your plans are, try to make good use of your free time. If you love hiking, spending good time with your loved ones, watching movies or playing video games, or anything else, go for it! It’s important to take the time to do what we love. As I often remind myself, we should work for life, not live for work.
Before we started, I had created a discussion group Discord link for The New York Times Connections and this column. We have a great little community there and we talk about more than just New York Times games. Everyone who joined was friendly. This is a fun gathering place.
This is also the best way to give me any feedback about columns, especially if I rarely make mistakes (!) as I don't read much of a comment or tweet.
The New York Times Connections tips and answers are coming today (Friday, April 4).
How to play Connections
Connections is a free, popular New York Times daily word game. A new puzzle appears every day at midnight. You can play on the New York Times website or on the gaming app.
You will see a grid of 16 words. Your task is to arrange them into four four-character groups by finding out the connections between them. These groups can be such as items you can click on, the name of the study participant, or words that start with a body part, etc.
There is only one solution for each puzzle, and you need to be careful when dealing with words that may fit multiple categories. You can disrupt the word order to help you see the connection between them.
Each group is color-coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to solve, the blue and green are centered, and the purple group is usually the most difficult. Purple groups usually involve word games.
Select the four words you think are put together and press Submit. If you guessed it wrong, you will lose a life. If you are close to getting a correct group, you may see a message telling you that you are only one word away from the correct answer, but you still need to find out which word needs to be exchanged.
If you make four mistakes, the game is over. Let's make sure that this doesn't happen with the help of some tips, and if you really struggle to fix it, then today's Connections answer. Like Wordle and other similar games, it's easy to share results with your friends on social media and group chats.
If you have a New York Times All Access or Games subscription, you can access the newspaper's Connections archive. This includes all the Connections games before, so you can go back and play any game you missed.
Apart from the initial 60 games or so, if you need a prompt, you should be able to find my prompt via Google! Just click here and add the game date you need to have the clue or answer in your search query.
