Assassin's Creed Shadows: Unlocking Yasuke's Kamon Crest Quest

In Assassin's Creed Shadows, players control Yasuke on a quest to locate nine hidden samurai Kamon Crests scattered across the game's open world. These crests, reminiscent of Western family coats of arms, represent clan status, affiliations, and values within feudal Japan. Their imagery often draws from nature (flowers, sun, waves), Buddhism, or even coins, signifying wealth and industry.

While this quest is available early, many crests are located in late-game areas. However, they're accessible once you unlock Yasuke.

Crest Locations by Region:

• Settsu:

  • Oda Clan Crest: Northwest of Osaka, in a ruined watchtower near the water. Requires breaking down a door.

• Omi:

  • Akechi Clan Crest: Inside Sakamoto Castle's tower on Lake Biwa's western shore.

• Harima:

  • Bessho Clan Crest: Miki Castle's guard tower (east).
  • Hashiba Clan Crest: North of the Bessho Crest, at Hiraiyama Fort. Requires moving heavy boxes (Yasuke only).

• Wakasa:

  • Niwa Clan Crest: Northern coast, inside a small hut near the inlet. Requires moving heavy boxes (Yasuke only).
  • Shibata Clan Crest: East of the Niwa Crest, on a building's upper floor, behind a heavy box.

• Yamato:

  • Tsutsui Clan Crest: Northwest Yamato, Koriyama Castle's lower floor, behind a heavy box (Yasuke only).
  • Akiyama Clan Crest: East of the Tsutsui Crest, atop a pagoda, behind a heavy box (Yasuke only).

• Kii:

  • Ikko Ikki Clan Crest: Northern Kii, near the Settsu border, at Negoroji Kunren-ba. Located behind a box in a guard tower.
