The work of designing systems for banks has taught me a lot about forms. I observed the test process in the lab. I work with experts from professional accessibility organizations. I've seen people with disabilities and assistive technology users test the form. I also read a lot of research materials.

From all this learning, I formed my own guide on form best practices.

When it comes to general advice on forms, one thing that comes to mind always comes to my mind is code-related: all inputs require tags attached.

This is what HTML 101 is about, but many forms do not do that. I once heard a story about a group of blind high school students who are about to go to college that they can’t apply for college simply because they can’t figure out what the input items on the form are required. After that experience, they began to doubt whether they could complete college independently.

Did you know that every mass shooting in the Onion newspaper would publish an article titled "'Can't Stop This,' the only country that often happens to this situation"? I think someone should create a website and post an article to all websites that failed this test, with the title similar to "'can't stop this,' a website representation that can solve the problem with just a few characters".
