Unlocking Aloha Links
While you can greet NPCs from the start, befriending them requires unlocking Aloha Links. This occurs in Chapter Two during your second visit to Revolve Bar. Kei introduces the app and its functionality, initiating your friendship quest.
Using Aloha Links
Aloha Links is an in-game social media app. Befriend Honolulu's diverse residents (and animals!) to complete the collection.
Befriending NPCs
Look for NPCs with a grey smiley face icon above their heads. Befriending methods vary:
Boosting Friendship Levels
A green gauge below the smiley face tracks friendship progress. Repeated interactions (greetings or purchases) fill the gauge, upgrading friends to "Buddies." More Buddies enhance Majima's reputation. Recruiting Kei requires 30 Buddies; the Revolve bartender needs 100 Friends.
Viewing Friends and Buddies
Access Aloha Links via the Menu > Smartphone > Aloha Links app. Check your Friend and Buddy counts and membership status.
Aloha Links Rewards
Reaching friendship milestones triggers messages from Kei, inviting you to Revolve for rewards. Claiming rewards unlocks further messages.
