MagSafe Tripod Stand: A powerful tool for easy shooting
MagSafe tripod holder makes iPhone installation and removal easy, making it easy to photograph and video. The slim MagSafe stand is portable and compatible with most phone cases, providing a worry-free shooting experience. This feature can be achieved by purchasing a magnetic adapter even if your phone or case does not support MagSafe.
It's not new to use a smartphone to install it on a tripod. However, since the iPhone introduced MagSafe magnetic technology, it has completely changed my mobile photography and video photography.
MagSafe makes tripod installation easier
MagSafe tripod stand uses magnets built into your iPhone (or Qi2-enabled smartphone) to install and remove the device. I'm using the Moment Pro MagSafe tripod stand, but any MagSafe stand works just as well.
This makes it very easy to install a phone on a tripod with one hand. Previously, I needed both hands to install my iPhone: hold the phone in one hand and open the phone clip with the other.
Some phone clips can hold my phone well, while others cannot. Some can work with my phone case (if I used it at the time), some can't. Additionally, some can be used for vertical shooting, some cannot (although all phone clips are usually used for horizontal shooting).
However, MagSafe changed all this. Since it is a circular magnet array, you can install your phone in any direction. This is very useful for using a tripod with a spherical gimbal because I can simply point it in any direction and then rotate my iPhone until I reach the right angle. I can easily switch between horizontal and vertical recording without using a tripod gimbal that can rotate 90 degrees.
After the shooting, I just picked up the phone with one hand and put it in my pocket, because the only thing that holds it is the magnet.
Family photos have never been easier
I am now the exclusive photographer at home. Whenever there is a family party, it is usually a question: "Patrick, do you bring a tripod?" With the MagSafe stand, I can easily mount my phone onto the tripod, rotate it accordingly, and then use my Apple Watch to Trigger the camera.
This helps reduce the friction required to take family photos. Also, it makes taking photos easier when my wife and I are on vacation.
I used to worry about whether the clip holder would hold my phone because I like to use the phone without a case, which means the side of the phone is a little slippery. However, with MagSafe, I don't need to worry about this anymore in any case.

While some phone holders may be relatively bulky, most MagSafe holders are very slim because it is just a flat magnet.
This means I can easily put the MagSafe tripod stand in my backpack, my wife's purse, and even pocket it during the shoot. The flat design of the bracket makes it very easy to carry.
Another great benefit of using MagSafe tripod stand is that the thickness of the phone case will not have any effect. In the past, I've used super thick OtterBox Defender phone cases, and sometimes these cases are too thick to use the standard clip-on camera stand. MagSafe solves this problem by using magnets to fix it, rather than clamp it.
MagSafe is compatible with almost any mobile phone case
You can use almost any phone case with the MagSafe stand whether or not your phone case is built in. You may ask, how did this be done? They sell magnetic rings designed specifically for MagSafe devices. This means you can simply connect the magnetic ring to the back of any phone case (or phone) and it becomes MagSafe compatible.
Although I personally recommend using a phone without a phone case, you may belong to the type of person who still wraps your phone with a protective case. Either way, MagSafe is now universal thanks to the magnetic connection system.
