What are Hourglass Events?

Hourglass Events are unique conversations distinct from Skits. Unlike most in-game events, they are infrequent and time-sensitive.

The Navigation command highlights available Hourglass Events in your current location, similar to quest objectives and exits. Enabling the Destination Icon setting displays them on the map, alongside standard objectives, or when viewing the Towns section of the World Map.

These events often involve special conversations but can also initiate side quests. For instance, the Hourglass Event at Cheria's house in The Sands of Strahta chapter unlocks Frederic's Lost Treasure.

Sharing similarities with Star Events (which are separate and focus on character memories, lacking time sensitivity), Hourglass Events are classified as Side Quests, recorded in the User's Manual.
