Fortnite: Chapter 6, Season 1 - Every Sprite Boon And What It Does
Fortnite recently introduced its player base to the massive and delightful battle royale island of Chapter Six, taking inspiration from the Samurai and Shogun era and introducing massively intriguing mechanics for the players to discover. While numerous original items are still in the game, most of them were vaulted and exchanged with other items.
With the introduction of the small and dispensable items like Oni masks, Sprites are adorable and tiny creatures that roam around the battle royale island, waiting for players to grab them and use them for their abilities, or exchange them with Sprite Boons; small and yet powerful items.
All Sprite Boons And What They Do
Sprite Boons are a small device-like item that integrates abilities to let the player receive a passive buff that can be of help in a battle. Boons have their innate spot designated in the inventory and won't fill up the weapon's slots.
Unfortunately, the maximum capacity for the Boons in your inventory is two.
These Sprite Boons come in various types, all of them having different effects on the player and can act as a significant buff to give you just the required edge in a fight to tackle your enemies and be the victor.
Boon Type |
Effect |
---|---|
Wind Boon | Once equipped, you can sprint significantly faster, but it's only available while holding your pickaxe. |
Void Boon | This works like the Shakedown system: knock down an enemy to reveal other enemies near your location. |
Fire Boon | Equipping this boon can majorly increase weapon reloading speed. |
Water Boon | While swimming, the Water Boon can regenerate your health and shield; it works in an area of effect, healing anyone nearby. |
How To Find Sprite Boons
Sprite Boons are pretty easy to locate. Land at any of the named points of interest on the battle royale map and there you may stumble upon a recently introduced item named Elemental Chest. These chests have a significant rate of spawning Sprite Boons, including the Oni Masks.
Along with the Elemental Chests, you can use the nearby Sprite Shrines to locate the Sprites, the small elemental creatures, in the vicinity. Pick up one of the Sprites, and after you successfully return it to a Sprite Shrine, the shrine will provide you with a Sprite Boon related to the Sprite's elemental ability.
