Metaphor: ReFantazio - Complete Guide To Gardening
In Metaphor: ReFantazio, indulging in various pastimes in your spare time is essential to pass the time. This helps advance days toward key objectives and brings you closer to important events. While on the Gauntlet Runner, new side activities, like gardening, become available as Nueras modifies the vessel throughout the story.
Your first experience with gardening comes when you're given a few free seeds to plant, which introduces you to the activity. It’s hard to pass up this side endeavor when it yields consumables that boost Archetype XP. Here's everything you need to know about gardening and where to find seeds to get started.
How To Garden
Gardening unlocks once you've completed your escapades in Martira and set off for Brilehaven. To start gardening, the Gauntlet Runner must be active and moving, and you'll need to head to the lounge and interact with the Plant Culture Chamber Igniter to begin the activity.
Of course, you'll need seeds to kick off your gardening efforts, but your first interaction with the Igniter provides a free Hero's Fruit Seed to plant. The activity will consume one time block, and your harvest will be ready the next day. Thankfully, collecting your crops doesn’t use up any time, nor does the Gauntlet Runner need to be running for harvesting.
How To Get Seeds
There are three types of seeds you can use for gardening, each yielding items, or fruits to be precise, that boost Archetype XP. While these seeds are indefinitely purchasable, you won’t find them all in one place.
The higher the quality of the seed, the greater the XP boost its fruit provides. To balance gameplay, the availability of higher-quality seeds is restricted to later regions, with the best seeds only accessible toward the endgame.
As you progress, you'll naturally replace lower-quality seeds with better ones, as there’s little incentive to use the weaker options once superior seeds are unlocked. Below is where you can find each type of seed and what they yield.
