Withings reveals new Cardio Check-Up feature with professional assessment
Withings has announced Cardio Check-Up, a new app-based heart health review. The feature connects you to a board-certified cardiologist, who could help you detect early signs of arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation (AFib) or provide peace of mind regarding your heart health without the need for an appointment.
Through Cardio Check-Up, the physician can review health-related data collected by your compatible Withings devices and feedback via the app within 24 hours. One of the metrics reviewed is your ECG readings, meaning that you must use an ECG-capable device like the ScanWatch 2, the Body Scan smart scale or the BeamO health scanner; a complete list of suitable devices can be found below.
The Withings Cardio Check-Up feature will launch in the UK, France, and Germany by the end of the year; an exact date has yet to be provided. The annual Withings+ subscription, which includes four check-ups each year, is priced at £89.50/€99.95. Alternatively, you can subscribe for a monthly fee of £8.95/€9.95 to receive one Cardio Check-Up after each 90-day subscription period. The tool will also launch in the US, though at an unconfirmed later date.
